Where have all the terrorists gone?

A bus explodes in central London. A train detonates on the track in Madrid. Two buildings succome to airplanes in downtown Manhattan.

All of these events have a common thread that the general public needs to be educated on. These events are just that, events. They are not acts of terrorism or carried out by terrorists.

In fact they are attributed to folks like bombers, hijackers, gunmen, militants, extremists, attackers or some other appropriate noun according to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's (CBC) Tony Burman, the editor-in-chief of news and current affairs.

In its' latest scoop of pablem that is heading straight for the mouths of Canadian viewers, the CBC has issued an internal memo mandating their broadcasters and 'journalists' to refrain from using the words "terrorist" and "terrorism". The decision is based on CBC opinion that the words are "a highly controversial term that can leave journalists taking sides in a conflict.".

Calling a spade a club when it suits the CBC's left-leaning agenda is an old game of cards they have mastered.

So if the CBC does not want to use the words 'terrorist' and 'terrorism' because of what the words imply, lets review the definitions of the word, 'terrorism'. Miriam Webster describes it as:

"the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion"

Qualify this by asking yourself, can the 'events' of 9/11, 3/3 and 7/7 be described as systematic? Yes. The planning and execution of the attacks were very systematic in nature. Why did the individuals carry out these attacks? Was it as a means of coercion? They are imposing their beliefs on the western world through these attacks. So let's stop calling them attacks, they are terrorism through and through.

The CBC's desire to not take sides in a conflict is convenient to say the least. Have a look at the CBC's take on the Middle East and you will quickly see, based on their language which side they lean towards.

There are a couple of things wrong with this latest CBC memo. The CBC is a public broadcaster and they will be the first to cry that they are the collective voice of Canada, delivering the Canadian message across the country. Secondly, they are using public money to fund a biased message from what is supposed to be an unbiased organization.

Keep in mind that this is only one issue that they have taken their biased approach on, almost everything they report you must keep the minds eye open for the code in between the lines representing the unbiased story the so happily cling to.

Perhaps in that box of CBC pablem a pair of decoder glasses could be included. So when Peter Mansbridge puts our bibs on and starts feeding time we could see the pablem is actually tripe.
