"G-G Gets New Heart"...

The National Post reports, "Governor General Adrienne Clarkson has had a pacemaker installed in a successful operation. She remains in a Toronto hospital and will decide with her doctors over the coming days when she can resume working."

Resume working? If she got a new heart does that mean that Paul Martin gets a new brain and Scott Brison finally gets real courage?

Wait a second, she went in for a heart exam on Friday and received the new pacemaker less than 24 hours later? According to The Fraser Institute report, Waiting Your Turn, Hospital Waiting Lists in Canada (14th Edition) the most urgent of cardiac surgeries are some of the shortest in the country at only 1.4 weeks.

Goody gumdrops, we all receive fair and equal treatment under medicare.
